BAKU TO HOST 61ST SESSION OF WHO REGIONAL COMMITTEE FOR EUROPE
Baku, September 23 (AzerTAc). The 61st session of the World Health Organization`s Regional Committee for Europe will be held in Baku in 2011, said Azerbaijan`s Deputy Health Minister Elsavar Agayev.
According to him, the decision was adopted at the Committee`s 60th session, which has recently taken place in Moscow.
Agayev noted the Baku session will bring together ministers and deputy ministers of health from 55 countries.
Agayev also pointed out Azerbaijan is the second country after Russia in the CIS territory to host the Committee`s session. “This is the result of the development process and political stability ensured in the country,” he added.
