Boosting rural food security is ultimate priority, Arhabi says

(Saba) - Enhancing food security of rural poor communities is an ultimate government
priority,
Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul-Karim al-Arhabi said on
Wednesday.
During his meeting with a number of representatives of donor countries and
organizations, al-Arhabi affirmed the government's keenness on strengthening
coordination with
Yemen's development partners to reinforce Yemen's food security capacities.
He applauded the contributions of donors to the government's efforts to enhance
security food in Yemen, briefing the donors' representatives on the nature of the
challenges
Yemen faces.
The meeting has been dedicated to discuss the initial vision of the security food
project to be presented by the end of September, aiming to improve the agricultural
production,
which will be funded by World Bank with a bout $ 50 million.
