President Saleh meets NDI official for MENA

SANA'A, Sep. 22 (Saba) - President Ali
Abdullah Saleh met here on Wednesday with the National Democratic Institute (NDI)
regional
director for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Leslie Campbell.
During the meeting, Sale and Campbell discussed the aspects of relations linking
Yemen and the USA as well as the activities American Democracy Institute (ADI) to
support
democracy and election in Yemen.
They also reviewed the progress of the national dialog, which is intended to
enhance democracy and holding election 2011.
The President highlighted the NDI's activities to enhance democracy, which is the
only option Yemen has committed to realize the development of Yemen.
Campbell affirmed the support of the USA and the NDI for dialog and the democracy
in Yemen and holding the coming parliamentary election on time, hailing the
democratic
experience in Yemen and the current dialog between political parties in the country,
