LOSS OF VILLAGE'S POWER PLANT TO BE COVERED

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Chaired by the Deputy Premier M.Enkhbold, the Wednesday's cabinet meeting discussed among others measures that are urgently needed for a thermal power station in Khotol village, Selenge aimag. A related resolution was made at the meeting.
A situation in the power station, which belongs to the "Tsement shokhoi" state-owned company, has been worsening. For the time being, a deficit of the station has reached one billion 193 million and 400 thousand togrog.
The governmental resolution has allowed a Minister of Finance S.Bayartsogt to allot MNT 783 million and 100 thousand from the governmental reserved fund to set off a part of the loss. The State Property Committee has been obliged to work out a proposal on making the power station an independent enterprise and to introduce it to the government.
The cabinet has emphasized however that the state budget must not in future recover any loss of any entities.
