PRIMIER MEETS BILL CLINTON


Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister S.Batbold met Tuesday with Mr. Bill Clinton, a former President of the USA and leader of the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) during a participation in the summit meeting of the UN General Assembly.
The Premier has expressed a willingness to develop a cooperation with the CGI that "carries out activities for children, women and in the spheres of climate change, renewable energy, education and environment protection".
The sides have agreed to cooperate in development of education, good governance and responsible mining, and in environment protection. Mr. Clinton has mentioned that the CGI has experienced professionals in mining and underlined an importance of organizing a bilateral meeting on the mining issues.
After this meeting Mr. Batbold attended an opening of the 6th meeting of the CGI. Having brought together political figures, businessmen and social representatives, the CGI's meeting has considered urgent problems faced to the world, and has planned certain works.
The CGI has done some 1,700 humanitarian works with USD 57 billion so far since the establishment in 2005.
