All-Russia forum in def of children to open in Kazan Wed.
KAZAN, September 22 (Itar-Tass) - An all-Russia exhibition and forum
"Together for the Sake of Children" opens here on Wednesday. It will be
declared open by Tatarstan's Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, an official
in the republican government press service told Itar-Tass.
The press service official said, "The forum has drawn representatives
of the country's 63 regions which are reckoned recipients of grants under
the programmes and projects of the Foundation for Support to Chilidren
(FSC). Those present will discuss ways to protect our children (from
violence) and exchange the experience of various cities, organizations,
and families". A report on FSC activities and priorities of its work is to
be presented as well.
The FSC was instituted by a Presidential Decree dated October 1, 2008.
The Foundation unites participants and implementers of 109 progarmmes and
307 projects. The aggregate value of grants given since 2009 is 1,600
million roubles.
A special agreement is to be signed at the forum between the FSC and
the Republic of Tatarstan. This will be indicative of the republic's
accession to the "Russia Without Cruelty to Children" movemement, which
was launched on May 25, 2010, by the Public Chamber together with the FSC,
the Russian Ministry of Health and Social Development, and the country's
regions.
