Int`l oil and gas exhibition opens in Surgut on Wednesday.

TYUMEN, September 22 (Itar-Tass) - The 15th International specialized
exhibition "Surgut. Oil and Gas - 2010" opens here on Wednesday.
More than 150 leading companies, which supply equipment, technologies
and services for the oil and gas sector, from Germany, Finland, China,
Belgium, Kazakhstan, and 19 regions of Russia are among exhibitors.
Expert assessment is that the 15th jubilee exhibition is a large-scale
event for the fuel and energy sector of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area,
which is commonly known as Yugra, and will promote the use of the latest
achievements of national and foreign science and engineering, attract
foreign capital, and help give greater scope to mutually beneficial
cooperation in the oil and gas industry.
A business programme will be a major component of the Surgut
exhibition. A roundtable meeting, organized by the Surgutneftegaz
joint-stock company and dedicated to ways to raise the energy efficiency
in oil production will be held in the building of the A.S. Pushkin Central
city library on Wednesday.
On the second day of the exhibition, there will be a conference
workshop on the theme of "The Role of Oil and Gas Service Companies in
Raising Efficiency of Oil and Gas Production in Western Siberia".
