Novosibirsk reg legislature to examine Yurchenko candidacy.

NOVOSIBIRSK, September 22 (Itar-Tass) - The Legislative Assembly of
the Novosibirsk Region, at an extraordinary meeting on Wednesday, will
consider the candidacy of Vassily Yurchenko for governorship, legislature
chairman Alexei Bespalikov told journalists.
The candidacy of Vassily Yurchenko for being vested with the powers of
the region's governor was suggested on September 18 by Russian President
Dmitry Medvedev.
Yurchenko currently performs gubernatorial functions following the
appointment of the previous governor Viktor Tolokonsky to the position of
presidential plenipotentiary representative in the Siberian Federal
District.
