Yemen takes part in coffee conference for first time

LONDON, Sep. 21 (Saba)-
Activities of 105th round of the Council of the International Coffee Organization
(ICO) kicked
off on Monday in the UK capital of London with the participation of Yemen which is
considered for the first time following its inclusion in the Organization
membership.
Head of the Yemeni delegation to the conference and Deputy Minister of Agriculture
Abdul-Malik al-Thawr reviewed in his speech efforts of the Yemeni government which
aim
at improving coffee cultivation and increasing its production and exports.
He made clear that Yemen approval of coffee agreement in 2007 reflects interest of
Yemen to be an active partner in coffee trading as well as regaining its bright
history
of producing and exporting coffee.
