FM discusses bilateral ties with Gambian counterpart

Tehran, July 30, IRNA - Visiting Gambian Foreign Minister Omar Alieu Touray discussed bilateral ties and international issues with Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki here Monday.

According to the report of Foreign Ministry Media Department on Monday, Mottaki said ties between Iran and Gambia is in its preliminary stages but by both countries's presidents intention for deepening and developing ties big steps in bilateral cooperation willbe taken.

The Gambian senior diplomat expressed pleasure with visiting Iran and attending the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) meeting and called it a goodopportunity for exchanging views between member states of NAM.

Presenting a report on bilateral ties, especially economic, Touray called for deepening ties and expanding cooperation in the fields ofagriculture, industry and trade.
