Partnership between local authority, donors to be enhanced
TAIZ, July 30 (Saba)- With participation of 40 persons representing donor organization and executive apparatus' officials here, Mocha Local Council organized on Monday a workshop for enhancingpartnership between donors and local authority.
The workshop presented a brief on the most important development indicators on coastal areas and coordination release between efforts of local authority and donor organizations for integration and creating ideal labor for setting up service projects coping with local authority, donors and other government bodies for supporting decentralizationsystem.
In the opening ceremony of the workshop, deputy governor of Taiz Aref Mujawar stressed importance of the workshop seeking for creating real partnership between local authoritiesand donors.
Annual development report on Mocha for 2008 and Fishermen Food Program Project reviewed. The program aims at improving level of livelihood of poorest categories in Mochaand Bab al-Mandab.
The workshop came out with decision for forming a board council to Local Development Management to coastal districts in Taiz and including all donor organization inthe council.
