Alimi, al-Qirbi acquaint EU ambassadors on relief works in Saada
SANA'A, July 30 (Saba)- Deputy Premier for Defence and Security Affairs Rashad al-Alimi and Minister of Foreign Affairs Abu Bakr al-Qirbi received on Monday ambassadors of the European Union, USA,China and Japan, and representatives of the UN, European Commission and International Red Cross.
During the meeting, they acquainted them with President Ali Abdullah Saleh's decision regarding halting military operations in Saada as well as efforts done by the governmentto rebuild the governorate and offer help for the victims of the rebellion.
They also acquainted them with works of the formed committees to evaluate situations in the affected areas and measures and procedures carried out by the government to bring the displaced persons to their homes and ensure that all humanitarian needs areprovided.
The ministers noted that huge numbers of the displaced have returned to theirvillages and that the way to Saada has been made safe.
The meeting also dealt with a number of issues of common interest between Yemen theambassadors' countries.
