INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON AZERBAIJAN IN TEHRAN ENDS

Tehran, September 20 (AzerTAc). International scientific seminar entitled “Azerbaijan Republic 2010: Regional Role, Extra-Regional Importance” ended in Tehran.
The workshop was organized by the Caucasus Studies Institute, Tehran University and Center for Central Asia and the Caucasus Studies Institute for Political and International Studies of Iran`s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Iranian officials, ambassadors, famous scientists from Azerbaijan, Iran, Turkey, Georgia, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan participated in the seminar.
Iranian Vice-President on Parliamentary Affairs Hojatul Islam Mirtajaddin Mahammadrza, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Iran Javanshir Akhundov and Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mammadbagir Bahrami made speeches in the seminar.
Azerbaijan Republic-Russia Relations; its influence in region, Azerbaijan Republic-Georgia Relations; Azerbaijani Citizens of Georgia and Azerbaijan Republic-Turkey Relations; its influence on Armenia-Turkey Relations and other issues were the main topics in the seminar.
