Iran's President urges real changes in global management

New York, Sept 21, IRNA – Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Tuesday that real changes should be made in the global management process.

He added that he will deliver a speech on the world problems and the real developments which should occur in the global management arena at the UN General Assembly session.

He made the remarks in an interview with a Russian TV channel on the third day of his visit to the US to attend the annual General Assembly of the United Nations this week.

Tehran is ready for bilateral talks with Washington based on mutual understanding and justice.

The President regretted that Washington is threatening with use of force instead of logic, adding that the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to defend itself against any threats.

Criticizing the so-called Mideast peace process, he said all efforts pretending to establish Mideast peace have so far failed.

Since all the previous peace plans have supported the Zionists' rights, they have been defeated, he said, adding that because nothing has been changed in the present peace plan, this one will also fail.

Condemning intervention of foreign countries in the Palestinian domestic affairs, he stressed that the Palestinian nation should decide for their own fate.

President Ahmadinejad then called for release of the eight Iranian nationals imprisoned in the US./end
