Mottaki: All states entitled to benefiting from clean energy
New York, Sept 21, IRNA – Iran's Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said here on Monday that all countries are entitled to using clean energy.
Talking to his UAE counterpart Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed al-Nahyan on the sidelines of the UN Millennium Development Goals Summit, Mottaki said, despite all problems on the way, Iran with a firm determination tried to attain peaceful nuclear energy and now Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant has become operational.
He said all Iran’s nuclear activities are now under the IAEA supervision and based on the economic development plan, major portion of the country’s power shortage will be met through nuclear energy.
Both ministers also discussed certain regional developments and issues in the meeting./end
