Iran to turn sanctions into opportunity
New York, Sept 21, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says that the Iranian nation will turn the sanctions into opportunities through their double endeavors because that’s Iranians’ culture.
“When sanctions were not imposed on Iran, we produced only 10 percent of the oil industry needs, while after the sanctions more than 70 percent of the sector output is met thanks to the endeavors of Iranian technicians,” said President Ahmadinejad in an interview with American Channel 13 television talk show host and journalist, Charlie Rose, on the third day of his stay in New York.
President Ahmadinejad said today, Iranian nation has gained remarkable progress in the biotechnological, nuclear and stem cell sectors.
He said now, tens of thousand Iranian researchers and scientists are busy working in many fields and all these signify the point that in the near future, growing achievements will be attained./end
