Explosion in condo car park, damaging one vehicle; No injuries

BANGKOK, Sept 21 -- A bomb exploded at the car park of Supavadee Tower, a condominium in Bangkok's Ratchawat area early Tuesday, slightly damaging one vehicle but without injuring anyone.

Occurring at around 3am, the explosion caused a shallow hole in the pavement and shattered the windshield of a parked car.

The owner of the car is a physician at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital who said that he had no conflicts with anybody.

Police found no bomb fragments, so it was believed that the explosive could be TNT, C4 or an otherwise low pressure bomb.

Coverage from closed circuit television cameras captured no images of any intruders, but recorded only smoke from the explosion.

Police believed the attacker may have thrown the explosive device from outside the carpark and that there is no connection with the country's political situation. (MCOT online news)
