FOOTBALL COMPETITION AMONG DIPLOMATS RUNS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A friendly footbal match took place September 18 in the "Sanzai Village" sports complex among diplomats and staffers of the Embassies of foreign countries and representatives of international organizations in Mongolia. This match has been co-organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the "Golomt" commercial bank.
Present at the event's opening ceremony were G.Zandanshatar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs; John Finigan, an executive director of "Golomt" bank; Ambassadors of foreign countries to Mongolia; representatives of international organizations.
In total, 13 teams played representing the Embassies, the United Nations, the Asian Development Bank, the Mercy Corps and the Millennium Development Account.
A team of the Embassy of the Russian Federation has become a champion followed by teams of the German Technical Cooperation Society (GTZ) and the Embassy of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
