MINISTER OF ENVIRONMENTAND TOURISM VISITS TURKEY


Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A Minister of Environment and Tourism, head of Mongolia-Turkey Joint Economic and Trade Committee L.Gansukh paid a working visit to the Republic of Turkey September 16-20, 2010.
In a scope of the visit, L.Gansukh has held a meeting with Mr. Veysel Eroglu, Turkey's Minister of Environment and Forestry, in Istanbul city to discuss a matter on co-drawing up a technical-economical justification for the "Orkhon Gobi" project. The sudes have agreed to consider a financial matter of the project at the forthcoming 6th regular meeting of the Mongolia-Turkey Joint Economic and Trade Committee to run October 25-26 in Ulaanbaatar this year.
An agreement has been reached between Gansukh and related officials of Turkey's Council for Economic External Relations about organizing a Mongolian and Turkish businessmen sub-meeting as well.
L.Gansukh attended an opening ceremony of the Honorary Consulate of Mongolia in Istanbul city and delivered a speech. Mongolia's Ambassador O.Ochirjav granted an exequatur, patent and the stamp to the Honorary Consul of Mongolia--a Turkish citizen Mr. Fahrettin Amir Arman who is to work two years in accordance with directives--to support the business collaboration between the countries, protect interests of Mongolians in Istanbul and to propagandize Mongolia.
Mr. Gansukh also met with authorities of Turkey's Water Authority, got au fait with Istanbul's sewage plant, and gave interview to the "Anadolu" information agency.
