Trade coop to be discussed during RF president visit to China.

BEIJING, September 20 (Itar-Tass) - A wide range of issues of
Russian-Chinese trade-economic cooperation will be discussed during RF
President Dmitry Medvedev's forthcoming visit to China, Russian Ambassador
to China Sergei Razov said at a press conference in the Chinese capital on
Monday.
"At the Beijing talks the sides are to discuss a wide range of
Russian-Chinese cooperation matters," said the ambassador. "They will give
major attention to the development of their trade-economic relations,
interaction in the sphere of energy, improvement of the structure of
bilateral trade, expansion of the regional and investment cooperation,
ecology issues."
Razov noted that since the beginning of the year after a decline last
year the Russian-Chinese trade entered and active phase of restoration
growth. According to him, if "the trade continues to increase at the
current tempo then it will reach the record-high pre-crisis level of
2008." The ambassador recalled that the bilateral trade volume accounted
for 56 billion US dollars.
The Russian diplomat also drew attention to the fact that during the
visit the parties will touch upon issues linked to the two countries'
energy cooperation. According to him, they will discuss interaction in
such spheres as the atomic and coal industry, as well as in the energy
saving sphere. He also stressed that energy cooperation between the two
countries is "large-scale and diverse."
The RF ambassador to China said that a number of documents on energy
cooperation can be signed in the presence of the two heads of state,
however, "these documents are to be prepared at a regular meeting of the
Russian-Chinese energy dialogue that will be held in Tianjin this Tuesday."
Sergei Razov also drew attention to the active development of
interregional cooperation between the two countries and successful
implementation of projects of the corresponding intergovernmental
programme.
