Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister of Mongolia S.Batbold will pay official visits to the USA and Canada from September 20 through October 3. A report on this visits has been given by O.Och, an advisor to the Prime Minister on foreign policy, D.Tsogtbaatar, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and by other officials.
Firstly, the Premier will work in New York September 20-27. There he will give a speech at the summit meeting of the UN General Assembly about considering an implementation of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and to express his position at a round table meeting themed "Ensuring special needs for extremely vulnerable countries". In addition, the Premier will deliver a speech at the general debate of the 65th session of the UN General Assembly, take part in a summit meeting titled "Innovative global management" to be co-organized by the United Nations Fund for International Partnerships (UNFIP) and the Louise Blouin Foundation to deliver a report themed "Future attitude of raw materials". Then Mr. Batbold is to meet with Mr. Ban Ki-moon, the UN Secretary-General, with a chairman of the 65th session of the UN General Assembly, leaders of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), State Heads of some countries, and will get au fait with activities of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
From September 28 to October 1, an official visit of Mongolia's Premier will run in Canada--his first ever visit to this country since entering the Premiership. The legs of this visit are to continue a frequency of the bilateral high level political talks, to strengthen an agreeable legal environment for the bilateral ties, to widen the relations in principles of partnership cooperation, to determine a present situation of the relations and their prospects, and to exchange opinions on the collaboration in trade, economics, investments, infrastructure, agriculture and environment.
The Premier will meet Stephen Harper, the Prime Minister of Canada, and some Ministers. Apart of it, the Premier will visit the Canadian parliament and hold meetings with the Speakers of the Senate and the House of Commons. S.Batbold will also meet with governors of Ontario and British Columbia states, attend the Mongolia-Canada business forums to run in Toronto and Vancouver cities.
In a scope of the official visit, the Premier is expected to sign some documents on development of cooperation in road, transportation, construction, urban development, civil service and standardization service.
After the USA and Canada, S.Batbold will head Japan to attend a ceremony for the retirement of Sumo Grand champion D.Dagvadorj.

The Prime Minister S.Batbold received Friday Mr. Gregory Goldhawk, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to Mongolia.
Beginning the meeting, the Premier underlined that the two countries share many similarities such as geographical location, size of areas, climate, and added that Mongolians consider Canada as a model country for development which means that Mongolia has big opportunities to study developmental experiences of Canada and to boost the bilateral cooperation.
The Premier mentioned about his official visit to Canada late this month and congratulated Mr. Goldhawk for becoming the Ambassador to Mongolia. He expressed a confidence that the new Ambassador will significantly contribute to the Mongolia-Canada relations and cooperation.
In turn, Mr. Goldhawk noted that Canada wants Mongolia to be its partner in Asia. "Mongolia has many opportunities for the development," Mr. Goldhawk stressed and added he is ready to share his country's developmental experiences.

The Prime Minister S.Batbold granted Friday cash prizes to sportspeople and their coaches who have shown brilliant successes in international competitions.
The Premier stressed he is proud of successes of Mongolian sportspeople, coaches and sports organizations that had followed the victory of Mongolians in Beijing Olympic Games. "Our judoists always make us happy. Your merit brings great results. Thanks to its endeavor the Federation of Free-Style Wrestling is showing successes, too," the Premier said.
"I am very delighted with brilliant successes of Mongolians in the World University Chess Championships," he added.
A gold medalist of the Free-Style World Champioships Battsetseg Soronzonbold has received a cash prize of MNT 30 million (USD 22,556); bronze medalists of Judo World Championships Tsagaanbaatar Khashbaatar (men's 66 kg) and Bundmaa Monkhbaatar (women's 52 kg) received MNT 8 million (USD 6,015) each.
A gold medalist of the World University Chess Championships Mongontuul Batkhuyag has been given MNT 10 million (USD 7,518). Coaches of these sportspeople have been granted with cash prizes as well in accordance with the governmental resolution.

A senior advisor to the President of Mongolia P.Tsagaan met Friday Mr. A.Vitner, a project manager of the ThyssenKrupp MinEnergy Company for Mongolian affairs; and Mr. K.Knos, a director of the Management Service of the Company.
The Company sent its representatives in order to study opportunities to invest and to trade. This company wants to buy mineral raw materials including copper, coked coke and natural rare minerals from Mongolia.
At the meeting, Mr. Tsagaan mentioned that the Mongolian people and businessmen friendly treat the Federal Republic of Germany, and advised the company to make investments to Mongolia without losing time. "Products of Germany are well known among Mongolians," he added.
In response, Mr. Knos underlined that legal environment in Mongolia for investments and foreign trade is not a problem for the company, whereas "the hardest problem is expenses for transporting raw materials and products from Mongolia to Germany".
P.Tsagaan said that transportation and logistics are possible to be tackled.

Five stock trades were held at Mongolia's Stock Exchange (MSE) during the week from September 13 to September 17. In overall, 1.7 million shares of 39 JSCs were sold totaling 787.9 million MNT trade.
Index top-20 was 13462.54 points decreasing by 758.24 units, or 5.3%, against the week earlier. The total market capitalization was set at MNT 1,186.5 billion decreasing by MNT 72.1 billion or 5.7%.
Shares of "Aduunchuluun" JSC (101.0%), "Chandmani tal" (51.9%) and "Avto impex" (15.1%) were increased, but, "Mogoin gol" (25.2%), "Shivee ovoo" (19.5%), and "Sharyn gol" (18.5%) JSCs were decreased at the MSE. A total of 39 shares were sold. Of them, rate of 14 shares were increased, rate of 16 shares were decreased, and rate of nine shares were stable.
Shares of "Khokh gan" JSC (634.2 thousand units), "Hermes center" (630.8 thousand units) and "Hai Bi Oil" (239.4 thousand units) JSCs were actively traded in terms of trading volume, but in terms of trading value "Tavan tolgoi" (MNT 237.9 million), "Mogoin gol" (MNT 163.0 million) and "Khokh gan" (MNT 96.9 million).
