Pakistan refutes Indian Army's claim that Pakistani troops crossed 200m on Indian side of LoC
Rawalpindi, July 29 PPI: Pakistan on Tuesday refuted Indian Army's claim that Pakistani troops had crossed 200 M on Indian side of Line of Control (LOC in disputed Kashmir) in Kupwara Sector, Occupied Kashmir which resulted into exchange of firePakistan Army spokesman said no Pakistani soldier had crossed the LOC. Indian soldiers wanted to establish a forward post in the area on Pakistani side of LOC which was objected by ``our soldiers. On Pakistan's objection, Indian troops opened indiscriminate and unprovoked fire.
``Indian fire was immediately responded to. The firing continued intermittently during the whole (Monday) night and was still continuing till the issue of this press release.''The spokesman condemned ``unprovoked firing'' by Indian troops and strongly denied the report of any causality on Pakistani side.
``We have material evidence to suggest that the Indian soldiers had crossed the LOC and wanted to establish a post on the Pakistani side of the LOC. After the fire fight, Indian soldiers were forced to flee from the area leaving behind their weapons. The evidence will be shown to the Indians during the flag meeting,'' spokesman concluded.
