Iran’s readiness for talks with EU, welcomed

Islamabad, Sep 18, IRNA -- Senior Pakistani journalist Saleem Bukhari on Friday hailed the statement of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad showing his willingness on talks with all countries including those in Europe.

Talking to IRNA, he said that the statement depicts the Iranian policy.

“It shows that Iran is ready for talks with every country on all issues and there is absolutely no blockade on the Iranian side”, he said.

Addressing the meeting of Iranian envoys to European countries, President Ahmadinejad said that Iran welcomes dialogue and talks with all countries, including European Union, but is against any hegemony and bullying.

He said expansion of relations with all countries is irrevocable policy of Iran.

Saleem Bukhari was of the opinion that it is an open message from Iran and world should take advantage of the opportunity given by the Islamic Republic.

“The statement has also negated the Zionist propaganda against Iran”, said the analyst.

The analyst was of the view that US on diplomatic front is trying every effort to destabilize Iran. ‘Some times they impose sanctions against Iran or bring resolutions against the Iranian state’, he stated.

He added that it is an open offer from Iran and should be responded with a positive mind.

President Ahmadinejad also said the EU's support for the resolution sanctions of the UN Security Council was a kind of bad-temperedness.

Saleem Bukhari said that Iranian complaint to European Union for supporting the UN Security Council resolution is legitimate. “It is disturbing for Iran to see that European Union had supported the UN sanctions against the Islamic Republic”, he said.

“European Union should not become hostage to the desires of US”, he viewed.

The analyst noted that after the statement of Iranian President European Union might reconsider its attitude towards Iran./end
