ABOUT 5TH SYMPOSIUM OF MONGOLIAN AND RUSSIAN MATHEMATICIANS
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The 5th international symposium themed "Generalized Statement and Solutions of Control Problem" (GSSCP-2010) was held September 13-17 in the Mongolian University of Sciences and Technology (MUST).
The symposium has been co-organized by the MUST, the State University of Buryatia of the Russian Federation, the Mongolian State University (MSU), the Foundation of Science and Technology of Mongolia and two branches of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) with participation of some 90 Mongolian and Russian scholars and teachers of universities and institutes. A doctor and professor B.Ochirbat, a director of the School of Computer Sciences, Techniques and Management at the MUST has acted as a leader of the symposium's organizing committee.
Present at the opening ceremony held in the Conference Hall of the State Central Library were R.Gonchigdorj MP, academician; B.Enkhtuvshin, the president of Mongolia's Academy of Sciences; V.I.Gurman, a director of the Institute of Systems Program at the RAS; Yu.S.Popkov, a noble member of the RAS and director of the Institute of Systems Analysis; S.N.Vasiliyev, an academician and director of the Institute of Studies of Management Matters; and other scholars.
Some 60 reports have been delivered on generalized statement and solutions of control problem, digital methods and their usage, the usage of mathematical modeling at economics, ecology and techniques and on urgent problems faced to education of mathematics.
The major purposes of this symposium are to support the collaboration of Mongolian and Russian scholars in basic scientific works, such as carrying out joint scientific works on mathematics, usage of mathematics and mathematics modeling, and creating the best condition for realizing international joint projects with support from the Foundation of Science and Technology of Mongolia and the Fund for Basic Researches of the Russian Federation.
