Burkina Faso willing to boost ties with Iran

Tehran, Sept 15, IRNA – Speaker of the National Assembly of Ivory Coast Mamedou Koulibali here on Wednesday called for active participation of Iran’s private sector in various development projects in his country.
He made the remarks in a meeting with Iran's Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki on the sidelines of the two-day Iran-Africa Forum which started in the Iranian capital Tuesday.
He praised Iran’s decision to further boost economic cooperation with African countries, saying Iran-Burkina Faso economic ties have been increased in the recent years.
Koulibali further appreciated Iran’s initiative to host first Iran-Africa Forum, saying such a move by Tehran indicated its serious determination to boost all-out ties with African states.
For his part, the Iranian foreign minister voiced Tehran’s readiness to transfer its experiences as well as technological and scientific know-how to all African countries.
He underlined the need for further expansion of Iran-Burkina Faso parliamentary relations, stressing that the Islamic Republic of Iran has paid due attention to expansion of all-out ties with Africa since the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution./end
