Africa needs Iran: Burkina Faso FM

Tehran, Sept 15, IRNA – Visiting Burkina Faso Foreign Minister Alain Yoda Bedouma said here on Wednesday that Iran is a newly emerged power which Africa is in need of.
Bedouma who is currently here to attend the first Iran-Africa Forum, told IRNA that Iran is a newly emerged power and a large country which enjoys a great ancient civilization.
The African continent needs Iran in order to achieve progress and development, he added.
He reiterated that Africa should improve its ties with China, India, Iran, Turkey and Brazil in order to develop in various fields.
On his country’s relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran, he said the two sides are determined to bolster all-out cooperation.
The two-day Iran-Africa Forum started here Tuesday morning with participation of heads of state and high ranking representatives from 40 African countries./end
