Iran-Africa need to diversify partners: Ivory Coast speaker

Tehran, Sept 15, IRNA – Speaker of the National Assembly of Ivory Coast Mamedou Koulibali said Wednesday that Iran and Africa needed to diversify their partners.
The visiting speaker made the remarks speaking to IRNA on the sidelines of the first Iran-Africa panel discussion which started in the Iranian capital Tuesday and will end its work today.
Referring to the gathering as a 'good initiative' made by Tehran, Koulibali said the event led to more closeness of the two sides and would help promote bilateral ties between Iran and African states.
Heads of states and senior officials from 40 African countries are attending the two-day gathering.
Koulibali stressed that bilateral ties among Iranian and African people, businessmen and societies should equally be promoted to high levels similar to their political ties./end
