Insult to Quran, a conspiracy masterminded by Zionists: President
Tehran, Sept 15, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said here on Wednesday that sacrilege of the Holy Quran in the US is a conspiracy masterminded by the Zionists.
He made the remark in a meeting with the leading priest of the East Assyrian Church Patriarch mardankhai the Fourth.
He stressed that the complicated conspiracy will undoubtedly fail and the designers must expect its negative consequences.
Sacrilege of the Holy Quran is not only insult to Muslims, but also is an insult to the entire humanity and all followers of the divine religions, President Ahmadinejad stressed, adding that followers of the divine religions are pursuing justice in the world and are against violation of rights of other people.
He emphasized that the conspiracy to insult the Holy Quran is masterminded by the Zionists who have no religion and are only a racist political group.
Today, the world religious clerics are shouldered with great responsibilities to confront the enemies of divine religions and their true followers, he noted.
Expressing his regret over sacrilege of the Holy Quran, Patriarch Mardankhai said such moves would not damage the existing amicable ties and peaceful coexistence of Muslims and Christians.
He praised peaceful coexistence of Muslims and Christians in Iran for thousands of years./end
