PEACEKEEPERS AWARDED

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Issuing a decree, the President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj bestowed state prizes upon Mongolian peacekeepers who have taken part in the UN peacekeeping operations in Sierra Leone. On Tuesady, the medals and orders were handed by D.Battulga, a head of the Presidential Office.
The Military Medal of Honour has been given to five troops--lieutenant-colonel J.Molorbold, assistant to the head of the General Headquarters of Mongolian Armed Forces (GHMAF), a major Kh.Altantsooj, a head of the communication section of the 84th military unit, and others.
The Peace Medal has gone to 125 servicement such as colonel G.Narankhuu, deputy head of the 27th military unit; colonel Ch.Nyamsuren, head of the English language center of the Armed Forces; senior lieutenant A.Togs-Erdene, an operator of the 167th military unit; lieutenant E.Enkh-Erdene, a programmer of the 189th military unit, and others.
