Iran-Africa to foster solidarity- Senegal president

Tehran, Sept 14, IRNA – The Senegalese President Abdoulaye Wade said here on Tuesday that the first Iran-Africa panel discussion would promote solidarity between the two sides.
Addressing the gathering, President Wade said the solidarity would develop on the basis of historical commonalities between the two sides. Further, Wade appreciated the Islamic Republic of Iran over its great support for the world nations’ rights.
The Senegalese president also called Iran-Africa relations as special.
The former chairman of the African Union (AU) Commission Alpha Omar said for his part while addressing the gathering that Iran’s resistance is a great example to the African nations all. Omar called on the African states to strengthen their friendly ties with Iran in all-out fields. About the global issues, Omar said the world and international problems should not be solved only by the big powers.
