Iran-Africa panel discussion opens in Tehran

Tehran, Sept 14, IRNA - The first Iran-Africa panel discussion opened in Tehran in the presence of several presidents, ministers and high-ranking officials from 40 countries.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Malawian President, the current chairman of the African Union, Bingu wa Mutharika, Senegal's President and Head of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, Adoulaye Wade and Former Malawian President, the ex-chairman of the African Union, Alfa Omar Konare are expected to deliver speeches during the two-day event.

Ministers of foreign affairs, industries and mines, and health of several African states as well as representatives from their active economic and investment companies are attending the gathering along with journalists and press officials from the black continent.

The event will wrap up on September 15./end
