Fostering ties with Africa benefits Iran’s private sector

Tehran, Sept 14, IRNA – Expansion of mutual relations with Africa is economically benefitial to Iran’s private sector, an Iranian official said here on Tuesday.

Talking to IRNA, member of Iran and Congo Parliament Friendship Group made the remark on the occasion of the first Iran-Africa panel discussion which is to be inaugurated in the Iranian capital on Monday evening.

Hassan Vanaei said Islamic Republic of Iran has introduced a regional model in the past three decades and plays a pivotal role in creating new ties at international level.

Vanaei, who is also Varamin representative in Majlis, added that creating parliament friendship group is important as a public communication symbol, and plays a key role in creating friendship, brotherhood and will limit imperialistic actions in the world.

He said that the upcoming Iran-Africa panel discussion will create a good opportunity for Iran and Africa to improve economic and political ties.

The first Iran-Africa panel discussion is to be held in the Iranian capital from September 14-15. Ministers of foreign affairs, industries and mines, and health of several African states as well as representatives from their active economic and investment companies will attend the gathering along with journalists and press officials from the continent./end
