AZERBAIJAN`S PRESIDENT MEETS ROMANIAN COUNTERPART
Baku, September 13 (AzerTAc). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has met today Romanian counterpart Traian Basescu.
The successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Romania in political, economic and other spheres was stressed during the meeting.
The importance of meetings of heads of state and reciprocal visits was underscored in terms of expansion of bilateral ties.
They also underlined the importance of tomorrow`s meeting of the Azerbaijani, Georgian, Romanian presidents and Hungarian Prime Minister.
The sides also stressed the significance of the AGRI project in ensuring the energy security of Europe. They also expressed confidence that the event would contribute to strengthening the regional cooperation.
President Ilham Aliyev spoke of the ongoing talks to settle the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
The discussions also revolved around the bilateral ties and international issues.
