Not only law enforcers, but also people to rebuff scattered gangs.
MOSCOW, September 13 (Itar-Tass) -- Not only the law enforcement
agencies, but also local residents will give a rebuff to scattered gangs
still rampaging in the North Caucasus, a source in the National
Anti-Terrorist Center (NAC) told Itar-Tass after several successful
operations against gunmen.
"Scattered gangs, which are still attempting to resist to the law
enforcement agencies, will receive a stronger and tougher rebuff not only
from the security services and the law enforcement agencies, but also from
all civilians in the North Caucasus republics," the source noted.
"The suppression of bandit raids in the North Caucasus Federal
District is the common matter for all who are interested in
socio-political stability in this region and its sustainable development
without any conflicts," the NAC source added.
Specifically, the NAC source recalled that a special operation had
been carried out in Makhachkala, where eight gunmen were destroyed on
Sunday.
"The killed gunmen are being identified. Submachine guns, grenades, a
large amount of ammunition, communication devices and notebooks were found
in the operation area," the NAC source said.
"No casualties in the police and the security services were reported,"
the NAC source noted. The special operation area is fenced off so far. The
investigation in the clash continues.
On September 10, a gunman, who was blocked in a residential house and
put up armed resistance, was killed in Derbent. On the same day three
gunmen from the so-called Sergokala terrorist group were killed in the
Dagestani settlement Nizhneye Makhargimakhi.
