MONGOLIA HAS TRADES WITH 120 COUNTRIES
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ In the first eight months of 2010, Mongolia traded with 120 countries from all over the world. Total external trade turnover reached USD 3,758.8 million, of which exports made up USD 1,793.6 million and import made up USD 1,965.2 million.
External trade balance in the first eight months of 2010 showed a deficit of USD 171.6 million, reflecting a decrease of USD 14.8 million or 7.9 per cent compared to the same period of the previous year. Total external trade turnover increased USD 1,407.0 million or 59.8 per cent, of which exports were up by USD 710.9 million or 65.7 per cent, and imports--by USD 696.1 million or 54.9 per cent against the previous year.
In the first eight months of 2010, mineral products, natural or cultured stones, precious metals, jewelry and textiles & textile articles accounted for 94.0 per cent of the total export value amount.
