Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ According to the Bank of Mongolia, money supply (broad money or M2) at the end of August, 2010, expanded to MNT 3656.1 billion increasing MNT 112.9 billion or 3.2 per cent against the end of July 2010, and increasing MNT 1092.1 billion or 42.6 per cent against the previous year.
At the end of August a currency issued in circulation reached MNT 467.5 billion increasing MNT 15.2 billion or 3.4 per cent against the end of July 2010, and increasing MNT 83.4 billion or 21.7 per cent compared to the same period of the previous year.
Loans outstanding at the end of August amounted to MNT 3020.6 billion increasing MNT 48.6 billion or 1.6 per cent against the end of July 2010, and by MNT 431.7 billion or 16.7 per cent--against the previous year.
Principals in arrears decreased MNT 24.4 billion or 22.1 per cent against the end of July 2010, and by MNT 87.4 billion or 50.4 per cent-- against the same period of 2009.
At the end of August, 2010, the non-performing loans over the bank system reached MNT 410.2 billion decreasing MNT 4.2 billion or 1.0 per cent against the end of July, 2010. It is an increase by MNT 55.1 billion or 15.5 per cent compared to the same period of the previous year.
