Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ In the first 8 eight months of 2010, the number of live births decreased 1,561 or 3.4 per cent to 44,739. The number of mothers delivered children decreased 1,597 or 3.5 per cent to 44,558 against the previous year.
Infant mortality increased by 97 or 66.9 per cent to 242, and a number of maternal deaths decreased by 9 or 33.3 per cent to 18. The 1-5 aged child mortality remained stable at 892 as it was in the same period of 2009.
