US will face crushing response by Muslims: Iran's Larijani

Tehran, Sept 13, IRNA – Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said here on Monday that the US must wait for a crushing response by the world Muslims in case sacrilege to the Islamic sanctities continues.

In a message to his Muslim counterparts all over the world, he strongly criticized the insult to the holy Quran.

If Washington does not abandon support for these savage acts, it must expect a crushing response by the world Muslims, he added.

In his message, the Majlis speaker urged his counterparts in the Islamic states to show a decisive reaction to sacrilege of the holy Quran by the extremists.

Referring to the defeat of the US military policies in Afghanistan and Iraq, he said Washington’s approach to confront with the Iranian, Lebanese, Palestinian and Pakistani nations have also been failed.

The recent sacrilege to the Islamic sanctities has damaged the religious and spiritual sentiments of hundreds of million Muslims all over the globe, Larijani said, stressing that the US authorities must expect a doomed fate if they fail to make appropriate measures regarding the issue.

Undoubtedly, the Muslims will not remain silent towards the sacrilege to their holiest sanctities, he added./end
