Thailand has won the Southeast Asian Young Women's Volleyball Championship
Bac Ninh (VNA) – Thailand has won the Southeast Asian Young Women's Volleyball
Championship, the 2010 VNPT Cup, after defeating their Indonesian rivals 3-0 in the
final match, which took place in the northern province of Bac Ninh on September 9.
In another match the same day, Vietnam earned a 3-0 victory over Malaysia to take
third place.
In addition to the gold, silver and bronze prizes, the organising committee also
presented other prizes and titles to the competitions outstanding players.
Vietnamese star Duong Thi Nhan received the award for the athlete who scored the
most points, while Thailand’s Wannichaya was honoured for being best overall
player and most outstanding striker.-Enditem
