Medvedev optimistic over relations with Japan.

YAROSLAVL, September 10 (Itar-Tass) - The development of relations
with Japan is in line with long-term plans of the Russian foreign policy,
President Dmitry Medvedev said here on Friday, addressing Russian and
foreign political scientists at the World Political Forum.
Medvedev said he was optimistic about the development of relations
with Japan. "The most important thing is not to be rude to each other, and
to be polite," Medvedev believes.
In his opinion, this approach permits to make a major headway in the
development of bilateral relations. He stressed that the development of
relations with Japan was in line with long-term plans of the Russian
foreign policy. "We are sure to develop relations with the Asian
countries, specifically Japan," he said.
