D.BATTULGA MEETS RUSSIAN DELEGATION AND CHINA'S AMBASSADOR

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Head of the Presidential Office of Mongolia D.Battulga received Friday a delegation headed by L.P.Reshetnikov, a director of the Institute of Strategic Studies at the President of the Russian Federation (RF). He is paying a visit to Mongolia at invitation of the Institute of Strategic Studies, the National Security Committee of Mongolia (NSCM).
D.Battulga said he is satisfied with a development of Mongolia-Russia relations and cooperation despite the difficulties in the economic ties. He put a proposal to hold a trilateral meeting on regional security with a participation of scholars and researchers from Mongolia, Russia and China.
Mr. Reshetnikov appreciated the proposal and said this meeting may be held either in Ulaanbaatar or in Far East, adding that it is important to strengthen the collaboration and ties between the institutes.

The same day, D.Battulga met Mr. Yu Hongyao, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Mongolia.
Mr. Battulga briefly introduced himself to Mr. Hongyao and underlined that the Presidential Office wants to cooperate with the Chinese Ambassador in forwarding the collaboration with China and in implementing works considered during a visit of Mongolia's President to China in April this year.
Mr. Battulga expressed a willingness to cooperate with the Ambassador in protection of environment and in global climate change issues which are under constant attention of the President.
The Ambassador thanked D.Battulga for the audience and said he is ready to cooperate with the Presidential Office in certain matters.
