Heavy rain death toll rises to 56 in Hodeidah

HODEIDAH, Sep. 18 (Saba) - Heavy rains
fallen on Hodeidah province, western Yemen on the Red Sea, killed five people two
days
ago risen the death toll to 56 in the province, a medical source said on Wednesday.
The GPC-run almotamar.net was cited the source as saying that floods and thunders
have killed two people in al-Muhailes area and a child and his pregnant mother in
al-Madman
area in al-Tuhayta district.
One man was killed and another was wounded in Zapid city of Hodeidah due to thunders.
Heavy floods in several districts of Hodeidah have led to 40 deaths in less than a
month after 11 was killed in similar floods hit al-Jarrahi district over a month
ago.
