LONG-DISTANCE MARATHON TO TAKE PLACE

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The very first long-distance marathon state championship will run on September 10.
Co-organized by Mongolia's Light Athletics Federation (MLAF), Mongolian Federation for Long-Distance Marathon and the State Department of Physical Culture and Sports, the distances will be 50 km and 100 km in two age categories as 18-49 year-old and above 50.
Older than 50 years are to cover 50 km, the younger ones will run 100 km. All runners are to start at the city's Bagakhangai district and finish on the Sukhbaatar square.
According to Ch.Zorigtbaatar, a secretary-general of the MLAF, a three-kilometer long race will run among amateur runners during this competition as well.
