Yemen, Japan discuss bilateral cooperation

SANA'A, Sep.07 (Saba)- Deputy Minister of
Planning and International Cooperation Hisham Sharaf met here on Tuesday with deputy
ambassador
of Japan to Yemen.
In the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral cooperation relations between the
two countries and means of boosting them in various areas.
Sharaf appreciated raising the ceiling of Japanese support provided to Yemen, which
amounted to about USD 45 million annually, in the most important aspects of
humanitarian
and basic needs as well as the supply of the Japanese grant that is non-dedicated
for projects.
On another hand, Sharaf met with the commercial and economic attaché in the Chinese
embassy to Yemen Mr. Yu.
Talks in the meeting dealt with special arrangements for holding meetings of the
economic, trade and technical committee between the two countries by the beginning
of 2011
in Beijing.
The two sides discussed the progress in the 48th Hospital project and preparations
for the next phases of the project, and the project of modernizing and developing
Bajel
Cement Factory, as well as future proposals of new projects for 2011 and Chinese
training programs.
