32 Lebanese parties support Iran policies

Beirut, Sept 8, IRNA – Representatives and officials of 32 Lebanese political parties, by attending Iran’s embassy here on Tuesday, declared their support for Iran’s stances on Islamic and Arabic affairs.

The attendants said now that the west and especially US and the Zionist regime are mobilizing their abilities to ruin Arab and Muslim nations' rights, Iran is the main supporter for Arab and Islamic affairs against arrogance plans.

They added Iran is resisting and it is necessary that Arab governments be aware of this fact and take a friendly stance, instead of enmity, towards Iran.

Members of Lebanese parties assembly declared that Iran has always been with regional nations, especially Palestinians and Lebanese people.

They also appreciated Iran’s readiness for arming Lebanese armed forces, providing electricity and participating in discovery and exploitation of oil in Lebanon and by underlining Iran’s technical and technological abilities in different fields, called on Lebanese government to take Iran’s proposals seriously.

The Lebanese parties officials also felicitated Iranian nation and government on the opening and commissioning of Bushehr nuclear power plant and expressed pleasure with Iran’s position as one of the countries in the world with nuclear technology.

Iran’s Ambassador to Beirut Ghazanfar Roknabadi said that Iran’s policy toward Lebanon is underlining stability and unity and resistance of all Lebanese political trends in a united front to confront the Zionist enemy.

Concerning Iran’s proposals, he said that we are serious in the issue and we are following them with the Lebanese government./end
