MPRP'S CONFERENCE HELD
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party (MPRP) held Tuesday its 12th regular conference. The conference discussed three main issues in accordance with an agreement of the leading board and brought together 80 per cent of the conference's members. Former chairmen of the MPRP N.Enkhbayar and M.Enkhbold did not take part in the conference.
At the beginning of the conference, the Prime Minister of Mongolia and chairman of the MPRP S.Batbold underlined that the party is required to hold the 26th regular session in the near future, and added the upcoming session may discuss achievements and mistakes done in the last 20 years in Mongolia's state and socio-economic life, as well plans for development to the future. He mentioned that, although Mongolia made many mistakes in difficult times of the transition stage, its achievements gained had been more and told the party's members it is high time time to consider future development goast.
The MPRP's chairman requested the members of the conference to fix a date of the party's session within first ten days of November. He put forward his proposals as to consider at the upcoming session a political report of the party's chairman, reports of the conference and of leading board, information from the general committee of control and matters on altering the rule of the MPRP, on the party's report and organization.
The MPRP's Secretary-General U.Khurelsukh introduced the gathered to a draft procedure for the session's date and electing delegates to participate in the session. In accordance with the party's rule, a date of the party's session is announced at least 45 days before, and this year's session will be held November 4-6. Furthermore, the 26th session of the MPRP is expected to bring together 801 delegates from the party's sections nationwide. The election vote will run secretly October 1-3 meaning that one delegate at the session is to represents 187 members of the MPRP. According to U.Khurelsukh, each section of the party in the city will be represented by their delegate at the session.
Finally, the conference's members agreed to hold the session November 4-6, 2010, in accordance with proposals of the chairman and the leading board's members.
