Medvedev urges Kazakhstan to complete migration legal basis.

UST-KAMENOGORSK, September 7 (Itar-Tass) -- President Dmitry Medvedev
has urged Kazakhstan to complete as soon as possible the creation of the
joint legal basis in the sphere of the migration policy. Medvedev
described that sphere of relations, including economic migration, as "the
inalienable part of our international cooperation."
"We should complete the creation of the normative basis in that
sphere," the Russian President said at a meeting of the 7th Forum of
Russia-Kazakhstan Inter-Regional Cooperation. "I have in mind as well the
settlement of the problem of the legal status of the office of the Federal
Migration Service. We should sign an agreement on readmission and work out
common approaches to the stay of Russian, Belarusian and Kazakh nationals
on the territory of the Customs Union. We agreed to step up the work on
the drafting of the agreement," he said.
