PREMIER WORKED IN DARKHAN-UUL AIMAG

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister S.Batbold worked September 5 in Darkah-Uul aimag in frames of his tour to agricultural regions. The visiting group comprised T.Badamjunai, the Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry; T.Gandi, the Minister of Social Welfare and Labor; L.Gansukh, the Minister of Environment and Tourism, Yo.Otgonbayar, the Minister of Education, Culture and Science; J.Tsolmon, the Vice Minister of Health; Nyamjav, the deputy head of the Cabinet Secretariat of Government; authorities of the Ministry of Road, Transportation, Construction and Urban Development and the General Authority of Social Insurance; and MPs D.Khayankhyarvaa and J.Sukhbaatar.
In Darkhan-Uul the Premier was welcomed by L.Gunchin, head of the Citizens' Representative Khural, and G.Erdenebat, governor of this province. The Premier visited vegetables fields in Orkhon soum, met with vegs growers, and appeciated a way they organize a fair of vegetables. The governor Erdenebayar said Orkhon soum harvests some 10 tons vegs a year and that it was selected as the top vegs grower last three years. The Premier underlined that the government will more support any actions targeted at increasing a food supply and gave five fully equipped green houses to the growers.
After this, the Premier headed to Darkhan city to see the Agro Park. The soum's governor Ch.Tsendsuren said that this Park has 26 green houses.
The Prime Minister got au fait with construction of the “Darkhan-50” complex being erected in Darkhan city's center, and held meeting with people in the Theatre of Youths. He spoke about the governmental policies and activities underlining that development of the industrial sector is the way to develop Mongolia. He mentioned the coalition government is working to put mineral resources into economic circulation by delivering benefits from the revenue of mineral resources to people and emphasized an importance of intensively boosting animal husbandry and land farming. The Premier pointed out requirements to improve works and to create system of responsibility in all levels of the state, and said the government is aiming to develop Mongolian people.
S.Batbold noted that Darkhan city has become the second largest center in the country in terms of production, economy and culture, and that the city's industrial production reached MNT 47.9 billion in first seven months of this year showing an increase by 14 per cent against the previous year. He added that universities, institutes and vocational centers in Darkhan city play an important role in preparing trained staffers, and appreciated establishment of new factories of processing milk, coke with increasing job places.
The Premier promised to support Darkhan city in founding a new industrial park, and stated the government will render comprehensive assistance for development of the city.
Local people showed interest in matters on establishing a leisure center for children and youths, sports complex, blood center in the unified hospital, on providing the central library with a building, erecting a university campus, dormitory, atomic power station, and on providing senior teachers with apartments.
