IAEA confirmed Iran's peaceful nuclear activities for 23rd time

Tehran, Sept 7, IRNA – The international nuclear watchdog has for the 23rd time confirmed that Iran did not deviate from the peaceful nature of its nuclear activities, it was reported on Tuesday.
Spokesman of the Foreign Ministry Ramin Mehman-Parast made the remarks Commenting on the report released by IAEA's Director General Yukiya Amano on Monday about Iran's nuclear activities.
He stressed that Iran had had 'very good' cooperation with the agency and had completely kept its commitments as a member of the IAEA.
The spokesman said that Iran has been making each of its nuclear activities 'under the full and 24-hour supervision of the IAEA's cameras.'
However, Mehman-Parast noted that there were parts of the director general's report which were non-technical and became politicized.
Urging the IAEA to act as a technical body and based on its own duties, the spokesman said one of the major weak points of the agency's report was that it could easily be influenced by political developments and pressures.
Mehman-Parast added that one of the major violators of the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty was the Zionist regime whose activities have not been seriously taken by the IAEA.
The agency has no idea of the Zionist regime's nuclear capabilities and the scale of its deviation from the NPT, the spokesman added.
He urged the IAEA to act as a technical body and free from political pressures./end
