Iran's President returns home from Doha
Tehran, Sept 6, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad returned home here early on Monday after visiting Doha, Qatar.
The one-day visit of President Ahmadinejad took place on Sunday at the official invitation of the Qatari Emir, Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa al-Thani.
During his stay in Qatar, Ahmadinejad conferred with the emir of Qatar on various topics including bilateral relations and the issues of Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan as well as the world of Islam.
Ahmadinejad also held a joint press conference with Bin Khalifa al-Thani, attended the Iftar ceremony in that country and met with a number of top Qatari officials as well as Iranians residing there.
Foreign Minister of Iran Manouchehr Mottaki, Head of the Presidential Office Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei, President’s Advisor for Press Affairs Ali-Akbar Javanfekr and a number of cabinet members accompanied President Ahmadinejad to Doha./end
